Smiles

Bekah is such a daddy's girl. I love the little moments that they get to spend together. Little things like riding on her daddy's shoulders, kisses, a snuggle. The other day I came home from work around 8 am. Bekah was still in bed so I got her up and we went to see daddy. After a hello I took Bekah to change her. She just kept saying, "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy" with a big grin on her face. I said, "Do you love your Daddy?" She said, " I love." That was the first time she had ever said that. It was just so precious and a sweet reminder of how we should be with our heavenly Father.

I love Chris' face here. Bekah had a death grip on his cheek. Ouch!

Just a quick prayer request: Chris has had a fever for over a week now. He is on the 8th day of a constant fever and just feels so crummy. Bekah just came down with a fever today and is really not feeling well either. As I said to Chris, 1 year olds just don't sit still for over 2 minutes unless they are really sick. She is wanting to snuggle all the time. Her favorite words are, "Up ease." (Up Please.) I think I am also fighting it but not as bad as Chris. No fever yet. Please pray that we can all feel better soon. Thanks!!

My funny Little Valentine

Bekah helped me plant some flowers out front. Ok, so I planted them and then she would pull out the whole plant. And she loves to pull off the petals of the flowers. But she does like to help mommy. Soon she will learn the best way to do that.

Some pretty cute take-out.

A true American girl. She loves her oreo's. Bekah figured out how to take the cookie apart and then lick the cream off of the cookie. Sometimes she eats the cookie and sometimes she just wants the cream.

Such a dirty mess. It looked like she had been eating dirt.

Uncle Kevin

Bekah loves her Uncle Kevin so much. She likes to play with him and try on his glasses and hat. I love this cute picture!

Swinging is awesome. She loves to clap and shout while swinging. I'm glad she loves it since I get sea sick now when swinging.

We are working at refinishing the picnic tables that we got from my parents. It has lots of layers of paint and they were just peeling off. Chris's parents and brother came over to help us work on it. Bekah was interested in the noise and what we were doing.

I look so cool- just like Uncle Kevin.

Such a busy day

Bekah had such a busy day. Playing in the sandbox. . .

Riding a bike with daddy helping. . .

Playing with the dog. . . .

Having a bit of a tantrum.

Fun pictures and a trip to the park

Such a silly little girl.

Bekah's first time coloring. She really enjoyed it and had lots of fun. Mostly stayed on the paper too.

The park was really fun. Bekah loved trying out so many new things.

A New Potty

I am planning on potty training Bekah before the new baby comes. I got a new potty chair to get her comfortable with the idea of it. She was thrilled!!

Bekah kept running back and forth from her potty chair to the toilet. She would point at one and shout potty and then run to the other shouting potty, poopy. It was a very exciting day for her.

Is this how it works?

Look I can carry it my self!!

Heat Wave

It got soooo hot today. Up to 100 degrees. When the kids got home from school they were all really hot. Bekah's cheeks were so red. I filled up the pool and let them all play in it. The water was freezing but they didn't complain at all. They had fun soaking their heads and cooling off.

So we are getting ready for Bekah to move on up to a big girl bed. I am working on getting her new room ready to move into. Meanwhile, I transformed her crib into a toddler bed. She was so obedient and stayed in her bed without too much fuss. After the first three times with no problem I left the baby gate down when I put her to bed the other night. Chris and I went outside to work on the sprinkler system. After 30 min. I went into get something. Bekah was standing in the dining room crying. I picked her up and she was soaking wet. I checked the upstairs bathroom and there was no water on the floor. I thought maybe she had gone outside, gotten wet in the sprinklers and then went inside. I put her back to bed and then went into our bathroom. The floor was covered in what could only be toilet water. Yuck!! After cleaning it all up I checked on Bekah again. She was just pulling her drum out of the closet and started to bang on it. I had her put it away and clean up all the baby wipes that she had spread all over the room. After some discipline I put her back to bed. One minute later she slid out of bed again. I disciplined her a bit more and made sure she would remember. No more getting out of bed since then. What a kid!
